Out With The Old, In With The New

Today was exhausting to say the least.  We painted four rooms in our house.  Yep, we covered our beautiful yellow, the boys playful circles and even sniff sniff, sob the pink tree and our last two blessings initials and names.  Now we are beige, well foxtrot to be exact.  But that’s only the beginning of what we did today, the list is long so I won’t bore you with the details.

It was difficult for me to see the pink tree and our other paintings go.  I have to keep reminding myself that it’s just a wall, but it is still a little sentimental.

It’s now 10:30 pm and we’re done for the day.  We will all sleep to the smell of fresh paint and then begin more daunting work after church tomorrow.  Our weekend warrior projects were much easier before kids, but at least we’ll all sleep good tonight.

But one last time let’s admire the pretty pink tree.

pink-treeAhh, that’s better.

So, any ideas on what our big news is?

    • That would be life changing. Not to worry, we’ll let you in on the secret tonight, although I’m sure B2’s already spilled the beans.

  1. yes, he came in to Mom’s Sunday School room and said, “I have a secret I’m not allowed to tell.” but then he told us everything in like the next breath!!! Silly boy. I’m happy for you! B4 was absolutely adorable today (as always!)
