It is the first day of of the new decade and hopefully you have made a note of your resolutions or goals for the new year. I settled on an old favorite of losing weight. If you are a faithful reader you know that I had a short time of “trying” to lose weight a few months ago. I didn’t really make it a big priority then, but now it had to be done.
No, I don’t have a stern word from the doctor, but something much worse. I had to go shopping for pants last week. Let’s just say I refer to them as my fat pants. This morning Casey and I went for a run/walk. Before we got back I had felt the length of my absence from running. My ankles hurt, legs itched, short of breath what am I 90? You have to start somewhere right?
One recommendation from when I was going bootcamp that I can share with you. The contrast shower. When you get in the shower after a good workout turn the water all the way to cold for 10 – 15 seconds before turning the shower off. This will cut down on the lactic acid building up in your muscles.
It is supposed to be a cold one out there in the morning. Hopefully I can burn a few pounds off trying to stay warm. I’ll leave you with B4 trying to spit out all her nasty cereal.
