The Pineapple of My Eye

This guy and I went on a date last night.  He put on some nice clothes, choose the place, and we went out to eat just the two of us.  Our normally silly, funny B2 was very reserved and actually a great conversationalist.  We talked about all sorts of things and played napkin tic-tac-toe.  After supper we headed to a bookstore to peruse through the children’s section and have some coffee and hot cocoa.  It was a great night.  I even had a chance to tell him how special he was to me and how I thought that he was delightfully unique and I really do!

The kids love having alone time with one or the both of us (David and I), and who could blame them.  In a family of six you don’t often get the sole attention of your parents very often.  We try to make it a point to get out with the kids one-on-one at least a couple times a year, although I truly wish that we could do it more often.  I was very glad to spend that night with my second born and it thrilled me to see how excited he was about it too.

Enjoy these photos of our fruit loving, super social, intelligent, funny, loveable B2.

  1. I love that you do this! Now with Jeremy having a regular income, we too can hopefully do this for our boys. You are instilling in your children something so valueable! Keep up the good work!
