What I Covet

On a recent trip to the bookstore David and I scoured the home improvement and design magazines in search of some inspiration for our soon-to-be bed and bathrooms.  I was happily flipping through until this

caught my eye.

*Note it’s a picture of a picture from a magazine because I’m too cheap to buy the magazine.

Looking at this photo put an instant smile on my face.  This is what I want!  I love everything about it.  The desk, the colorful organized folders, the fresh flowers, the stylish chair, and of course the frame above.  Until I came upon this photo I didn’t realize how much I desired my own space in the house.  A nice organized retreat that I can go to when I have a few priceless minutes alone I really want this.  I absolutely covet this desk and everything around it.

Or maybe…

I just covet the time to sit at said desk, alone, staring at colorful organized folders in a stylize chair.  Maybe when I saw this desk I immediately pictured me sitting at it during nap time or some other time when most of the blessings are occupied editing photos on my laptop, reading some homeschool articles, blogging, reading blogs, or just staring at my kids artwork above my head.  It was just the perfect picture of something that I really really want.  The funny thing is that it took me seeing a picture in a magazine to realize how much I desire just a little time to myself occasionally.

So let’s hear it, what is something that you covet right now, I know you have something. 🙂

  1. 🙂 ahhh…right now, quiet time would be nice, which I get tomorrow! 🙂 Also a new outfit and hair ‘do would be nice! 🙂

    L-O-V-E the space!!!!!

  2. This looks like you! Go for it!
I covet a bigger dining room table, or maybe a dining room to accommodate my growing family. Yesterday at church I heard a man brag about his 22 grandchildren. I’m satisfied with my four:)

  3. Rebecca enjoy your quiet time tomorrow, and you totally deserve a haircut too, not that you need one, you know what I mean. 🙂

Oh come on Grandma the more the merrier, right?
