Memorial Day Mind Dump

Hello everyone!  We hope you had a great Memorial Day.  I had a day of vacation and took full advantage of it.  We headed out a little before lunch time to Cedar Rock Park.  We were treated with special B1 sandwiches at the picnic area.  The sandwiches were peanut butter and trail mix, not too bad!  We hiked around two miles and I’m sure Casey will share some pictures with you tomorrow.

Thank you to all the service men and women who make our freedom possible.  Don’t think for one second that it goes unnoticed or unappreciated!

I had a great time at church last night preaching out of Proverbs 14.  And what a blessing it was to be followed by my pastor preaching and then a hot dog dinner 🙂

I’m still taking in everything we heard at the conference last week.  A lot of great information.

I got my Father’s Day present tonight, a little early, I know.  It is a hand held HD camcorder.  You should expect to see some more video on the blog soon.  I just captured a great 1 minute clip of B1 coming down the stairs asleep asking us why we woke him up to come downstairs.  He stood there for a while and shook his head and went back upstairs to bed.

I read a great quote from Mark Twain today – “The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who can’t read them”

Day 2 of the IT Challenge.  We had one person slip this morning out of habit….Old habits die hard, but we are getting there.

It is going to be hard going back to work tomorrow after being off since Thursday.

Beach trip is coming soon!

We should be pretty well covered documenting trips now.  The handheld HD camera and Casey’s camera.

I’m hoping to get some of the boys doing their VeggieTales duets.  Stay tuned for that!

Casey has her first photo shoot Friday, I hope everything goes well.
