Vacation is over and the Monday after has set in. I only had around 400 e-mails to shuffle through. What did the world do before e-mail? Wouldn’t it be nice to just stop using it? I guess I would be on the phone all day without it and would never get anything done. So, I guess I am grateful for it.
It was a HOT one today!
I stopped off at an ice cream shop in the Corolla after climbing Jockey’s Ridge. I was in the mood for some good, cold, homemade ice cream after that hot journey. We walked in and they sold Edie’s, like you buy at the Food Lion. I ordered a Slushie.
I’ll be preaching Wednesday night while our Pastor is traveling to a camp meeting. Keep praying for him while his leg continues to heal!
When I left for work this morning B4 told me “bu bu” and waved at the door. It is so hard to leave in the mornings! I will post on Wednesday about our Father’s Day and the gift they gave me before we left.
I am envious of Casey’s Completion post!
Our devotionals in Proverbs have been really good. I think the boys are getting the concepts of spiritual wisdom. There is a large gap between understanding and practicing. I pray that we all will continue to strive towards applying what we are learning.
I am still laughing at the games of Catchphrase my mom, brother and I played at the beach. Those need to be taped next time.
Our site at work is one of three nominated as “Best Visual Design” in Higher Education from all over North America. I think just being nominated is a privilege.
I was moved today by my reading in Matthew 25 in verse 40 today “And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” Read the whole chapter to get the context.
Someone at work was wearing silly bands last week……..
The boys have been wanting to come swimming at work for the past few weeks. The pool has been over run with kids from summer sport camps. It has been crazy!
It is rumored that Mebane is in the running for a new data center from Microsoft. That could be interesting!
