Thank You Dear Friend

The kids had a special night last night.

But more on this little guy in a moment.

Last week a dear friend asked if she could come over and teach the kids how to make hair bows for B4 to give her for Christmas and of course I said “No way”. I actually told her I would be happy, thrilled, estacitic to have her come over and teach me the boys how to make bows for their sister.  You know those people who just love kids, any kids, all kids, kids they’ve never spent more than 10 minutes with?  Yeah I don’t know many of those either but my dear friend, she’s one of those people.  She taught them patiently and kindly, she’s a real gem.  Each boy made a bow in which they choose the colors and helped assemble.  They turned out just lovely, and the boys, they were so proud of their creations.

See the cupcake?  How cute is that!  She made that herself just for B4, I love it.  My dear friend, she also asked if she could make some Christmas Mouse Cookies with the boys.  She had me at the word cookie, so they made these guys.

and about 22 of their cute friends.  We don’t have 24 of these anymore, I’m just saying.  Yes they are a little too cute to be eaten but trust me they are very tasty.  David especially likes to hold them by the tail and eat them in one bite, no I’m not blaming these little guys on the broken chair from yesterday I can’t believe you would think such a thing.

Thank you dear friend for the wonderful night that you created for our B’s we all had a great time!

  1. I smiled all the way home and couldn’t wait to tell Rick about my adventure! There’s no way they had as much fun as I did. I’m already thinking up excuses to visit on any other idea that might come our way. Their invitation to come every night may be taken seriously! Thanks for having me. Although I loved seeing them, seeing you and David and the family you’ve grown was the biggest treat.

I meet you daily on your blog. It’s the first thing I do when I get to work so I always start off my day with a smile.

I’ll be back, perhaps with less chocolate next time!
