Monday Mind Dump

It seems like forever since I’ve posted!  Everyone had a great Christmas and we are headed out in the morning for a short little vacation.  We broke our rule of telling the kids ahead of time about the trip.  B3 has been asking us for the past two days, “We go to the beach on Twooosday?”  Yes.  “When this day is off, then we go?”  Yes.

Daddy must have known it was going to snow.  He got the kids two sleds for Christmas.  They got some great use out of them!  B1 now has been plotting of building his own snowboard.  “I’m going to get a ski and screw two of my shoes on it”

I was scheduled to preach at church yesterday so I was in charge of calling off services.  I wanted to preach so bad, but the weather didn’t allow it.  I had to call off church around 8am.  I guess God had other plans.  I did preach at home Sunday afternoon though!

Casey and I see this end of the year trip as a reflecting, relaxing and planning time.  We have some time set aside to look ahead to 2011 and make some big goals.  God is in the center of it and I am excited!

I sat down today and put the tabs on my Study Bible that my mom got me for Christmas.  You know those little tabs that mark the books so you don’t have to look at the Table of Contents?  I put four of them on and realized that number one it wasn’t going to be easy and number two, it wasn’t going to work for me.  I told Casey it was all or nothing then.  You don’t want just four books of the Bible marked.

My mom got me a very unique gift for Christmas this year.  I look forward to posting pictures of it.

The boys got spy watches from Casey’s mom and dad.  They record audio, video and take still pictures.  You can hook them up to the computer and upload all of the media.  I can’t wait to see what fun that capture.

B4’s mothering instincts are all ready showing with all the baby dolls she got for Christmas.

I had to go to WalMart today to exchange some coats that the boys got.  I got there at 8am and didn’t have to wait in line.  I thought it was going to be a pain.  It took longer for the greeter to scan my items and give me stickers than the exchange did.

I’m working on a separate post about our viewing of The Nativity Story movie Christmas night.  Let’s just say it was eventful!

We would love to hear about your Christmas!
