To my dearest B1,
For nine years now we’ve watched you hit all of your big milestones. I have to say that this one brings much such joy tinged with a tiny bit of sadness. Today you’ve lived half of your childhood. This year you asked for clothes and shoes because you’ve grown out of both rapidly this last year, a Snuggie because you like to be comfy, and a BB gun because you’re beginning to learn about all that’s required of manhood.
You can literally pick me up off the floor albeit for a couple of seconds and you can understand your daddy’s occasional sarcasm. You can read, you can write, you can multiply, and you can take care of your baby sister while doing all of it. We’re not sad to see you growing up, that’s what you’re supposed to do. You’re my go-to guy for all things that have to be done timely. You love God, you love your family, and you love being the big brother. I pray that the last half of your childhood is even more fulfilling than your first. I can’t wait to see what He has planned for your life and I pray that you always willingly abide with whatever it is.
We Love You!!!
Dad and Mom
PS- Yes I will make sure your daddy changes the age on our website, yes I understand we are now two years behind.
