This weekend was kind of a whirlwind of sorts. We left on Friday morning and returned around suppertime on Saturday. In between there we were in the N.C. mountains. It was a looong ride but luckily we had checked out an entertaining audio book on our way out of town so that helped fill the time. The name of the book was The Moffats for anyone wondering, the kids loved it.
We made a stop by Chimney Rock on our way up and done some gem mining. And when I say gem mining, I mean some BIG gem mining.
Yep, B3 actually found this in our bucket, he was pretty excited. We were the only ones there so it was nice and the kids thoroughly enjoyed finding all of their “treasures”.
B4 just enjoyed splashing in the water.
They have the nicest area there where you can walk out to the river.
It was a nice little trip into a quaint little town.
Now to the real reason that we headed to the mountains anyway.
Congrats to Uncle Ricky! We’re all proud of your accomplishments and can’t wait to see where you go from here.
PS, We’re kinda glad you’re done with the mountains, if you have to move away again maybe the beach? Just kidding, we love you Ricky!
