It’s been pretty calm around here the last couple of weeks. We’ve been going to the pool a couple of times a week, doing school, going to church, just our normal stuff really. The kids have been sick with a cold for going on a week now so it’s been lots of sniffing and such which has kept us home for the most part. I had a doctor’s appointment yesterday and everything seems to be right on track with the little one. He still doesn’t officially have a name. We’ve got it narrowed down to two names that we go back and forth on daily, well I do David is pretty set on what he likes. But not to fear we’ve still got about 14 more weeks to figure it out.
B1 and B2 have recently started diving/jumping off the diving board at the pool. They think it’s great, I cringe a little each time they do it. B3 has gotten brave and will go underwater himself, he’ll be starting to swim in no time. B4 still likes to get in and out and in and out of the pool the whole time we’re there. This keeps our pool visits to about an hour.
We’ve been eating yummy peaches for a few days that a dear friend brought over (good peaches are really hard to find here) and we’ve even gotten a few edible tomatoes from our garden, though that’s probably going to be the extent of it this year.
Most of our evenings at home have been spent playing some version of backyard baseball. I will attribute this to my losing a pound over the last month. I have fallen in holes, slipped in wet grass, and even been hit with a plastic ball in the belly. I ‘m thankful that he’s so protected in there and I’m sure he will understand when he gets here.
David has been hard at work doing his bazillion different jobs that he does. We’ve resorted to eating breakfast together on the porch at 6 a.m. so that we can manage some conversation in a days time. By the time the kids are in bed he usually has work to do and I’m exhausted.
So that’s a quick update on everyone here, I pray that all is going well in each of your homes!
