I’m having a hard time putting together a well thought out blog post lately. Instead I’m going to share what’s been on my mind and heart lately and I encourage you to do the same.
At this point in my life I find myself frustrated many times at the things that I have neglected to learn earlier in my life. I’m not too concerned that I didn’t, until recently, know how to make a pumpkin roll or that I was in my late twenties before I ever really tried to mend anything with a needle and thread. Most of the things that make me want to slap hand to forehead are things much more important than that. I’m talking about things concerning parenting, Biblical principals, and life in general.
Secondly, I’ve really been wondering how differently we would live our day to day lives if we weren’t always so concerned about what the future holds. Would we have more joy if we just decided to live in the moment and savor each one that we’re given instead of always thinking about what we know is upcoming? Of course I’m sure we would but do we even have the ability to do that?
Yeah, my mind’s been all over the place lately. Maybe it’s the new baby, David going back to work, or other life changes we’ve dealt with the past few months. Anyway that’s where my mind’s been lately, how about yours?
