It's Not An Epiphany

I have a weakness when it comes to Mad Libs.  You know what those are right?  Imagine my excitement when someone posted a link to this site today.  Inspired, I decided today would be a great day to work on the parts of speech.

The boys took turns giving me adjectives, verbs, nouns, etc.  The stories were funny, really funny.  So funny in fact, I cried while trying to read them, that funny.  The kids were rolling with laughter, we had a great time and we worked on some important skills in the process.  That’s when I started thinking, I want to laugh more with my kids.  I need to laugh more with my kids!

It’s not an epiphany right, I shouldn’t have to remember to laugh more?  Yet occasionally in the midst of parenting, housekeeping, teaching, and cooking it seems like something that gets forgotten.  So this part is more for me than you.  Please don’t forget to laugh.

  1. One thing that Grandpa and I do that always makes us laugh is to make up country songs, especially while we’re in Walmart.
