It’s been an unusually busy week for us. The freezing weather last week caused quite a few things to be moved to this week. Combine that with the few things we had planned for this week, and it suddenly turned busy, for us at least. That’s my excuse for not blogging.
So we made it to Thursday night, and I was feeling pretty good about the fact that things were starting to slow down a bit. That lasted about an hour and 1/4 of the way through my Thursday night Frappuccino.
David is currently on the way to the E.R. with B2, our first ever E.R. trip since becoming parents. He was creating “braille”, with cardboard nonetheless, when he was supposed to be going to sleep. The injury included a crochet needle and B2’s finger. We were unable to remove it and unsure where the “hook” on the end was embedded into his finger. As much as I wanted to take care of it at home and not drive 30 minutes to wait with all the sick folks in Alamance County, we didn’t have much of a choice.
I’m fairly certain that B2 will learn a lesson or two from this experience. We would appreciate your prayers tonight that the wait will be short and the removal not so painful. I’ll update you tomorrow on how everything went. Thanks in advance for your prayers.
