So we’re officially on a school break for two weeks and I’m oh so thankful that it appears the rain has subsided for the time being. Today it’s sunny, and that seems like a miracle given the last couple of weeks here in NC. I know, I know, I am thankful for the rain and that we’re not in a drought.
To start the week off I gave the kids an opportunity to earn a little money by packing up outgrown clothes and putting out the next size up. They worked surprisingly well at it and all was done in about two hours. It helped that they listened to their favorite radio program while working. We even had some time to visit David at work and eat a quick lunch out with him. Which is an extremely rare treat, the driving to Elon part and the going into a restaurant and eating part. We try to make an effort to leave the house a few times while on a school break because honestly we stay home most of the time when we are in school and sometimes it’s just nice to get out for a while.
As for the rest of the week, I have a few things I’d like to do but I’ve also left plenty of free time for everyone to enjoy their favorite things to do around home. We plan to pick blueberries at some point and make a few trips to the pool.
In pregnancy related news, we had another ultrasound last week because they were unable to get a couple of views they needed at the last one. Everything looks good and baby is growing right on track. She (because we had them check again to make sure) is moving around lots during the day and I’m feeling pretty good most of the time. By the time the kids go to bed I’m pretty tired, but that’s not too unusual. We still don’t have a name picked out, not because we can’t agree, mostly because we have two that we really like and neither of us is willing to rule one out. So maybe she’ll have lots of names.
